Can the Artifact Visual Editor add new queries?

How the Artifact Visual Editor handles edits that require data not already included in an artifact.

No. The Artifact Visual Editor is designed to edit the artifact that already exists. It can help adjust layout, wording, styling, sections, tabs, and visual presentation based on the data already included in the artifact.

It does not automatically create or run new underlying queries when an edit requires data that was not part of the original artifact.

For example, if an artifact does not already include user behavior data, asking the Visual Editor to add a new "User Behavior" tab may update the artifact layout, but it will not fetch that missing data or generate new queries for it.

If you need the artifact to include new data, ask Zoë in chat to regenerate or extend the artifact with that data first. Once the artifact contains the right data, use the Visual Editor to refine the layout, copy, styling, and presentation.

Related note: This is different from Zoë’s normal query-generation flow. In chat, Zoë may create or modify queries based on your request. The Artifact Visual Editor works on the existing artifact output and does not re-run the full query-generation process.
