What You're Trying to Do

You need to connect your database tables so Zoë can answer questions about your business data.

Quick Solution (10 minutes)

Create your first view with this process:

Step 1: Go to the Data Model Editor

  • In Zenlytic, click Data Model in the left sidebar, then "Create view from table"

Step 2: Select Your Main Business Table

  • Choose your most important table (orders, customers, or transactions). This will be your starting point.

Step 3: Let AI Define Your Metrics

  • Check the "Use AI" box when importing. This automatically creates dimensions and measures (takes 1-3 minutes).

Step 4: Set Your Default Date

  • Choose the date field that's most important for time-based analysis (order_date, created_at, etc.).

Step 5: Deploy to Production

  • Click "Deploy to Production" in the upper right to make your changes live for everyone.

Can query your table now? Ask Zoë something like "How many orders do we have this month?"
